Dan Battershill
Founder of Earthstone Arts
After serious illness caused Dan (Danny) Battershill to resign from conventional work, due to a lifelong, life threatening form of severe eczema, and multiple other symptoms resulting in 90+ hospital admissions over 30 years – most in the last 10 years due to exacerbation by pharmaceuticals, which was then predominately healed through various full spectrum and isolated cannabis therapies, Dan founded Earthstone Arts; A Hemp/Cannabis research and development organization/advocacy, which has steadily grown over the past 5 years. During this time in the background whilst healing, Dan has been focusing on general cannabis research (specializing in dermatology), and educating his local community and interested citizens of Aotearoa on the potential benefits, harm reduction techniques and therapies of cannabis. He has also just completed his first season of industrial hemp farming and looks forward to assisting in the industry further, in order to propel the New Zealand Industrial Hemp Industry forwards.
